He was largely responsible for bringing down the once scandalously high prices of new cars in the UK down to the same level as the rest of Europe, introduced the J.D Power Car Satisfaction
Survey to the UK and is a patron of the British Standards Institute Kitemark Good Garage Scheme. He won Motoring Writer of the Year in 2004, presents ITV's Tonight programme, is motoring correspondent for GMTV and has featured in hundreds of TV and radio shows.
